東華文澤學校工作坊精彩回顧: TWIS 家長學院 | Workshop Highlights: TWIS Parent University

  東華文澤學校第一期家長學院于11月30日圓滿結束。活動反應熱烈,當天參加工作坊的家長們都表示獲益良多。透過小組討論和互動環(huán)節(jié),他們學了如何支持子女的學習和個人發(fā)展。

  Our first Parent University was successfully held on Nov 30th. Parents who attended the event had a fruitful and inspiring morning. They have learned how to support their child’s learning and development through discussions and interactive activities during workshops.


 

  家長學院的使命

  The Mission of TWIS Parent University

  工作坊開始前,總校長Arturo Ruelas和校長Ann Gaillard向孜孜不倦、前來尋求新知識、新見解、新技能以培養(yǎng)孩子成才的家長們致上歡迎辭。

  Before the workshop started, Head of Schools Mr. Arturo Ruelas and Principal Ms. Ann Gaillard gave a welcome speech to parents who came to seek new knowledge, understanding and/or skill to help their child succeed.

  “We hope to enrich the education of students so that they can achieve at the highest levels by empowering the parents with the knowledge, resources, and services to support their children in becoming active, self-regulated learners.“
 

  為何IB是的課程?

  Why is IB the leading curriculum?

  IB課程為學生面對將來不確定或復雜的機遇和挑戰(zhàn)做好準備。校長Ann不僅從教育者的角度解釋了IB對學生的好處,更從家長的角度解釋了IB的好處。

  Ann分享了她的大女兒Gabrielle的成功故事,她是一個典型的IB畢業(yè)生,體現出多元豐富的經歷和她的遠見卓識。

  IB curriculum prepares students for the opportunities and challenges of a very uncertain or complex future. Ms. Ann explained the benefits of IB for students not merely from the point of view as an educator, but even more significantly from the point of view as a parent.

  She shared the success story of her eldest daughter Gabrielle, a typical IB graduate who reflects diverse experiences and perspectives.

  “After graduation from an IB World School in 2015, Gabrielle joined an excellent business school in France, while studying, she started her own business, customizing second-hand jeans jacket and was recently invited to New York’s pre-fashion week to present her collection. She is currently finishing her master’s degree in a top business school in Belgium, and as part of the program, she will be going to Fudan University in Shanghai.”
